Chapter 9: A View to a Death

I couldn’t believe it Simon was dead we killed him. Well mostly Jack and the Hunters because they thought he was a pig and Simon was trying to tell us that it was him but it was too dark and he was already dead. I thought he was a pig to he was crawling on the ground. There was no phosphorescence coming from the sky so we didn’t see him. We all started to stab him and then his body floated away into the sea.

It was different without Simon he was the one who said that there was no beastie and that it was inside us. I guess he was right because we killed our own friend. And I told Ralph we should go because of the meat. The corpulent pig was tasty but it paid a price because we got to wild and almost in a trance that is what made us kill Simon. I was kind of mad at Jack because he was the one in charge of the whole thing because he was the king. They were treating Jack like a king. With coconut shells filled with milk. It was crazy there was pouring rain and everyone was acting crazy. It was getting out of hand.

Then Simon came out of the bushes and he was crawling everyone started to attack him then they stepped back I saw that it was Simon. We were all in shock then the parachutist came over the whole group. I realized that it was the thing that everyone thought was the beastie. I was about to cry. Simon was the only one who actually was calm and was thinking the right way about the beastie. I knew that everything was going to go bad now that Simon was gone.
